We are excited!!   We have returned to our in-service worship at 9:00 & 11:00 am.  Please continue to use the COVID precautions that we've been doing set forth by the CDC.  We have returned to in-person Sunday School for all ages at 9:45 AM.  The adults are social distancing in the Carter Hall fellowship hall.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the church office at 478-923-3737.

Worship. Grow. Serve.

First United Methodist Church is a place where the doors are always open. As we grow together along our spiritual journey, we believe we must see our faith in action through service within our community and beyond.

Our Pastor:

Rev. Dr. Josh Bizzell

Welcome! We are excited that you found us. My passion is helping people get to know Jesus Christ, whether it is introducing them to Christ or helping them know Christ more deeply.

At First, you can get to know Jesus more deeply through worship, prayer, study, sacrament, and service and find a family of faith at the same time.  We hope that you will come and see us – there’s a place for YOU at First UMC!

The Word & Spirit

The Word and Spirit is designed to assist the parishioners of First United Methodist and anyone else who visits in their daily journey of discipleship to Jesus Christ.

Word and Spirit Guides are posted here weekly for use in guiding the disciple in prayer, meditation, and Scripture reading.

Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.
