Soup Kitchen
Every Monday and Friday 35 to 100 people within our community visit Carter Hall at FUMC for a hot meal. Some walk, some ride bikes, and some drive, but they all show up in need of assistance. Some are disabled, some are veterans, some are working, some on a fixed income, some are in need of someone to talk to and, no doubt, some just need motivation.
But, they all have one thing in common; they are hungry.

Whether by bad luck, mishap, or poor personal choices, they find themselves in the situation where just a free meal will improve the quality of their life. Here, at least twice a week, people get a hot meal. For some, this is the best food and fellowship they see all week.
